The Springboard Charity’s TREK '20: Nicaragua is a unique fundraising event where volunteers take on a trip of a lifetime to challenge themselves by trekking up 4 volcanoes and help build a school in an isolated community in Nicaragua.
I was briefed to create a vibrant brand that reflects Nicaraguan culture and that has an outdoor challenge feel and look. I chose an Aztec theme for the branding to reflect the country’s heritage and created a bespoke Aztec pattern. The red and yellow colourway was selected for its Hispanic connotations and vibrancy, and the additions of texture and earthy tones were inspired by the outdoors element of the challenge.
A5 folded flyer, social media images and email template created to get sign-ups from trekkers. The flyer was a key tool as it was emailed out to Springboard’s business partners and given out at various events. The flyer sells the event by displaying key information (including an Aztec themed infographic) and photos to entice trekkers into signing up. This proved to be very successful as we quickly achieved the target of 35 trekkers.
Roller banners, posters, flyers and social media images created to help the trekkers fundraise and reach their target. These were used by all of the signed-up trekkers at their fundraising events and promoted to their colleagues and friends.
