Jack’s Bakery Brand Identity
Brand identity, e-commerce website, animation, stall signage, and business cards created for the hugely popular food stall, Jack’s Bakery. With every cake handmade using Jack’s own recipes, the founder himself became the heart of the brand and its strongest selling point. The identity was therefore built around creating a recognisable character from Jack, with his distinctive beard becoming a key visual feature of the logo and helping establish his persona as “The Bearded Baker”.
Design Process
The logo and typography were designed to feel handcrafted and organic, reflecting the homemade quality of the products and the authenticity of the business. A bold blue and white colour palette was chosen to mirror Jack’s friendly personality while ensuring the brand stood out both within busy food markets and across digital platforms. Supporting illustrations and iconography were developed in the same handcrafted style to represent the different product ranges and create consistency across all touchpoints.
The project focused on building a brand that felt as warm and personable as Jack himself. From turning him into the face of the business through the branding, to capturing his approachable nature through colour, typography, and illustration, every element was designed to reinforce the story behind the products.
Since launching, Jack’s Bakery has grown into a highly successful full-time business, with a loyal customer base drawn not only to the quality of the food but also to the personality behind the brand. Being part of that journey and helping shape a business built around passion, craft, and character has been incredibly rewarding.
